This hole-in-the-wall cafe is a really lovely place that gives great coffee and good food for a decent inner-city price. The coffee is well made and comes out quickly even when they're busy. They staff the place well for the high traffic periods (7am through 10am). The cooked breakfasts are inexpensive for the city and are decently proportioned. The general bacon and eggs ($12.50) is two eggs any style (they ask if you want them sunny side up or over-easy which I get a kick out of), 4 slices of middle bacon and two pieces of toast. There is also a tomato quarter but I never eat that (hate the things).
This place is a must visit for us whenever we come into town in Auckland. It is the only coffee shop I have found that make chai coffees and they are delicious. It is quite a small shop so I wouldn't want to sit in as it can be busy and there is not much room to wait but they get the orders out pretty quickly and it is located well, close to the wharf so plenty of places to sit around there
