The seafood options are fantastic. Got a shared platter here and a couple Saigon Green (haven't had these since in Vietnam). Couldn't fault a bit of it. Staff were fantastic too. Overall a great experience. Would go back.
I popped out to dine in heaven today for lunch when visiting newly opened Saigon Cafe Restaurant in Kingsland. Having only opened doors 3 months ago, Saigon has launched without any marketing but is relying on word or mouth and repeat customer visits, which I'm most adamant that will work magic, as does the exotic and aromatic flavour profiles brewing from the kitchen.
Being seated down, I'm really taken aback by how stunning this restaurant looks and no detail is left untouched. It truly is a beautiful interior imbued with accents of trendy chic meets oriental charm amidst the streets of Saigon, a fusion of east meets west.
With full disclosure, I think I ordered the best salad I've ever tried before. Despite wanting to pop in here for lunch after previously walking by, I only wanted a light lunch and was truly rewarded with a spicy green mango prawn salad accompanied with summer rolls. The flavours of the salad were so zesty, fresh, savoury and sweet. It really was an out of body experience, so much so, I will have to bring my family back here as they will fall in love with this restaurant! The summer rolls are lovely too but the star of the meal without doubt was the salad!
I sincerely and wholeheartedly highly recommend this cafe restaurant to all to try as it's worth the dining experience!
