Even though the registered patient number is very much, they hold limited number of doctors. I used to go for my sons wen they are sick, sometimes I waited in the lines more than 2 hours to see the doctor.
Very unimpressed. Insensitive doctors and rude receptionists. Treated like I'm not really sick because of my history of depression and anxiety when I was 18 (am now 25). I've had more than one bad experience at this place - firstly I went to visit my new GP to discuss my chronic health problems which I have been trying to heal naturally. I have been very sick for the past four years. Asked her to run several specific tests due to some serious concerns I was having and she eventually agreed to run the tests but wasn't happy about it. I was always respectful and polite but on my second visit she suggested I should change doctors. I was gobsmacked...Patients like myself who are actively involved in trying to heal themselves and understand what's going on in their body are viewed as "difficult"!
She also suggested that my symptoms were actually just anxiety related. There is nothing more insulting, and no other way to make someone feel totally alone, hopeless and helpless than to suggest what they're experiencing isn't real. My second bad experience was when I developed a bad kidney infection. My husband drove me to their emergency centre at the palms and I was in so much pain and feeling so dizzy that I started hyperventilating, and for the first time in my life I had a severe panic attack and my hands went totally dead and tingling was travelling up my arms. I had no idea what was going on. The nurse tended to me and the doctor eventually came to see me after reading my file, and The first thing she said before even asking me what was the problem was "so you've been seen for this before and everything was normal wasn't it" I was stunned and had to explain to her that this was a completely unrelated situation. Doctors see depression/anxiety on someone's file and treat them like nothing they experience is real. The infection was confirmed and I was given a prescription for antibiotics (not offered anything for pain relief). Got home and researched the antibiotic and found it is the only one that is NOT effective against kidney infections!! Had to ring the nurse and ask her to get me a prescription for a different antibiotic! Took them another 4 hours to prepare this prescription for me, meanwhile I am having chills and fever and feeling like hell, in excruciating pain. Will not be going back here.
