Extremely expensive, long waits and very inattentive service here. The pharmacy is brilliant it’s huge and there’s a nice cafe but when your sick or in pain that all really doesn’t matter. I wouldn’t return here. The women’s health unit use to be really good but the main worker who made that shine has now left
Only reason I am still here is because of the extra services they have on site. They know they're always busy so I don't know why they keep taking on new patients. Gone are the days where you could get your child an appointment the day you phone. Most of the receptionists are rude and pushy, not very supportive. Silly to have taken the kids area and toys away.
Booked an appointment online, never heard back. Tried again a week later by phoning up. Turned out I had "missed" my last appointment for the previous day that I didn't know about! Just one of many problems here. Have since changed medical centres! Problem after problem...
Very unimpressed. Insensitive doctors and rude receptionists. Treated like I'm not really sick because of my history of depression and anxiety when I was 18 (am now 25). I've had more than one bad experience at this place - firstly I went to visit my new GP to discuss my chronic health problems which I have been trying to heal naturally. I have been very sick for the past four years. Asked her to run several specific tests due to some serious concerns I was having and she eventually agreed to run the tests but wasn't happy about it. I was always respectful and polite but on my second visit she suggested I should change doctors. I was gobsmacked...Patients like myself who are actively involved in trying to heal themselves and understand what's going on in their body are viewed as "difficult"!
She also suggested that my symptoms were actually just anxiety related. There is nothing more insulting, and no other way to make someone feel totally alone, hopeless and helpless than to suggest what they're experiencing isn't real. My second bad experience was when I developed a bad kidney infection. My husband drove me to their emergency centre at the palms and I was in so much pain and feeling so dizzy that I started hyperventilating, and for the first time in my life I had a severe panic attack and my hands went totally dead and tingling was travelling up my arms. I had no idea what was going on. The nurse tended to me and the doctor eventually came to see me after reading my file, and The first thing she said before even asking me what was the problem was "so you've been seen for this before and everything was normal wasn't it" I was stunned and had to explain to her that this was a completely unrelated situation. Doctors see depression/anxiety on someone's file and treat them like nothing they experience is real. The infection was confirmed and I was given a prescription for antibiotics (not offered anything for pain relief). Got home and researched the antibiotic and found it is the only one that is NOT effective against kidney infections!! Had to ring the nurse and ask her to get me a prescription for a different antibiotic! Took them another 4 hours to prepare this prescription for me, meanwhile I am having chills and fever and feeling like hell, in excruciating pain. Will not be going back here.
