This is a very typical Korean BBQ restaurant, nothing too out of the ordinary or special. Being in the middle of the city, it is indeed very convenient if you happen to be in town, but very inconvenient if you are driving in. I think they have been allocated less than four parking spaces out the front, and they fill up fast. The Wilson parking nearby charges $6 for half an hour! So if you are going for dinner, park in the council parks and walk up.
Great central location. The BBQ buffet was great value with a huge range of meats and sides to choose from. With a liquor shop next door, BYO is quite convenient! Downside is that you cook on gas, opposed to the more traditional ones found on the North Shore. We had fun there, so definitely recommended.
Korean BBQ is a great way to dine with friends but most of the places you go to are pretty shabby and have an ad-hoc feel to them. Not Paradise Garden! Great fitout, delicious food, and the staff were friendly and really helpful, giving us all kinds of handy hints and suggestions on combinations to try which really added to the experience. BYO (which helped since their range of drinks wasn't great and there's an off-licence right next door). A wider selection of desserts would be nice but overall we had a great time.
