Fantastic place to go for a family day out. Great range of animals, and if you plan your day you can see them all getting feed at various times of the day. Nice walkways and paths conveniently linking the various parts of the park, alternatively you could take the free shuttle around the park. Great playground, my kids love the trampoline. The cafe is really nice, and even has prepacked "lunch box"type meals for the kids which always go down a treat.
Fabulous place to take the kids to.
Lots of animals to see. Great playground.
Love the free shuttle that takes your around and the driver talks about the animals.
Staff are so friendly and come and to you to chat about the animals you are looking at!
A little steep in price. A place that you definitely want to visit a few times and take the time to wander around looking at the animals. There is heaps to see. Everyone loved the lions and giraffes. Kids enjoyed riding the little train thing. Lots of parking too.
Used to always enjoy coming here as a child and really looked forward to taking my toddler this week. The new gorilla enclosure is amazing but it was very unfortunate that the park was very empty. Multiple enclosures were closed and there was a time were we walked for about five minutes without seeing any animals. Also starting to look very run down. Definitely not what it used to be but still worth a visit. A little bit over priced for what it is at the moment, I think a lot more people would visit if it was more affordable.
Took my grandchildren to orana park for the day, there is so much too see, everyone loved the lions and giraffes, good price for the level of animals to view, kids enjoyed riding the little train/cart thing, really need to come a few times to see everything
I love coming to Orana Park to see the animals with my daughter. It can get very busy during the holidays so arrive early for a close park. Prices have started getting a bit steep but understandable considering how much maintenance and animal care must cost. A tip - take your own food, whilst the cafe is nice it's expensive as there's no competition
Took my boys here and we had an amazing time- the gorillas were awesome. Allow for 3-6 hours ! Only downside was how small the cafe was - but had a good range of food/ drinks so we were all happy ( even if a bit cramped for space at the table) . Make sure you do / see a few of the feedings esp the giraffes. If it's very busy you may have to wait for the shuttle that's goes around - but well worth the wait for the informative talk you get while travelling on it.
Rather overpriced for what it is, but you do get to see some cool animals. Shuttle system is good too and so are the new gorillas. However a lot of the exhibits are a bit far away and some are even empty. They could do with a makeover to the whole zoo in my opinion.
We have an annual pass (go twice in the year and it's the same cost) and it's a great way to spend a day with our toddler. Last few times I have been was a little disappointed by the giraffes as my little girl really wants to feed them but they're never interested
A really awesome park but very expensive to get in-pleased our son was free! Great to see the animals, the giraffes are a highlight. Was not prepared for how average the food in the cafe would be vs the too expensive price tag. Definitely take a packed lunch. Fun day out.
