We went here from 1998 to 2004 end we would go once a year for three days as we are Jehovah Witnesses we would go for the baptism and also learn about god's word and also liked the seating, and the carpark as well.
For sheer space, there's no place like it when it comes to big events such as Fieldays and outdoor concerts. The huge main pavilion is more of a "hanger" really, and has media facilities as well as offices up on the mezzanine floor which allow for group meeting overlooking the main display space.
The copious amount of parking area is multi-purpose, and can be tasked to outdoor displays if not needed for vehicles. The whole venue is almost-infinitely reconfigurable to allow for any type of expo, show, display space, etc.
My only issue with this venue is that the parking areas rapidly turn to mud on anything but the driest days, and wearing anything but gumboots is sheer folly. Still, that's a minor thing at an event such as Fieldays, where it's all about "life outdoors".
Also very impressed at the small "display village" area including the fire station. It's great to see some of the physical heritage of our country's past being saved and looked after. We can't judge how far we have to go, unless we can see how far we have come.
