On 31st Dec 2013 I took my Olympic watch into the North City Plaza branch of Mister Minit to get the battery replaced because it was running slow. I was told it would take about 5 minutes to replace the battery, which it did. I was charged $29-90. I was not given a gaurantee card.
The watch then ran OK until the 3rd of Feb 2014 at which point it virtually stopped. I returned it to Mister Minit with the docket on the 4th Feb (the next day) and the staff member said he would fit a new battery. When I came to pick it up, I was told that the battery had not been replaced in December as the battery in the watch was a type that Mr Minit did not stock. This time I was given a gaurantee card, and was not charged.
Max props to the staff member today for telling the truth about the matter. Very very poor of the staff in December to say they had replaced the battery but hadn't...
Purchased genuine leather strap for watch as a birthday present. Very pleased that this was able to be fitted in 20 minutes and looked great. Less than a week later strap breaks faulty in area attached to pin. Representative offers to 'glue' faulty area for free or insists I will have to pay for a new strap as they take no responsibility after sale. Disappointed with lack of customer service and promptness to blame the consumer and attempt additional sale. Have been using Mr Minit for shoe repairs for years but will take my business elsewhere in future.
