After about 30 years in the business, theses guys have the cheerful smile and warm welcome down to a fine art. Unfortunately, in my experience at least, they just don't have the service to match. On a Tuesday morning I took a chainsaw in for a general tune-up and chain sharpening; it would be ready in two days and they would call me, I was told. Having heard nothing by late Friday I called them. They were most apologetic, explained about staffing problems, and assured me I was first on the list for Monday morning. I still didn't get a call so went in the next day. More apologies and smiles and an assurance it would be done that day. I waited through Wednesday and went in again Thursday morning. Yet more apologies and still no chainsaw. With my two-day service turnaround now closer to 10 days I decided I'd had enough and took the chainsaw elsewhere. It seems to me that Mike's Mowers is living on its past reputation rather than it's present performance.
