I used to go to McCafe all the time, but now I won't go back. The decor is dark and drab. And who wants to have a coffee on those tables/stools, uncomfortable without backs. Obviously they are only made for young people, no good for us older customers.
Awful planning when they did this restaurant up a while ago. My friend and I were in town and struggling to find somewhere to have a coffee and a bite to eat as she is in a wheelchair and can't get up/down steps which a lot of cafes have. Thought we couldn't go wrong with macca's, it is a family restaurant after all. All of the table's have bolted down stools so my friend wasn't able to sit at the table. I asked the girls at the checkout if any of the tables have removable chairs and they said no. After trying to figure out how to fit the wheelchair around these bolted down stools we found a small table without a stool on the end so sat there. Shortly after a staff member came over and told us we can't sit there as we were in the doorway. They were very rude and not apologetic that they couldn't serve someone just because of a disability. It was horrible having everyone staring at us and being denied service. A big company like McDonald's should be able to serve anyone, regardless of a disability.
Good food and good service for junk food. Since it's right in town it's usually quite busy so it can be hard to find a clean table sometimes. Some people like to hang out here and be a bit loud and obnoxious which is not the restaurants fault but a bit annoying
