Stay well away from this company, and all associated companies owned by Jamie McLachlan (JMAC Electrical). Our new supposedly “wow” kitchen turned out to be a NIGHTMARE experience! Following installation of our ‘pricey’ kitchen we found nearly 40 defects from design to installation, eg cabinetry not covering existing flooring, appliances not fitting, benchtop edging and top not matching, damaged panels and sink unit, cabinets/benchtop not level or plumb, kitchen installed to incorrect height, benchtop cut too short etc It took almost 6 months and 120 pages of emails and letters, including letters from lawyers to eventually resolve the issues. The kitchen required new cabinetry, new benchtop and reinstallation. The disruption (twice) was unacceptable as we were without a working kitchen for a number of days. We were made to pay in full prior to delivery (don’t ever do this), and therefore had absolutely no bargaining power, excluding the Consumers Guarantee Act, and Jamie, with his lack of “after sales service” flouted this advantage to the extreme.
