I had a HP DV6 laptop which runs quite hot. Eventually the graphics card burnt out. This guy said it was a common problem with my model and he could fix it. He did, except it came back missing 1GB of RAM, the SD card reader broken, screen broken (which I needed to pay him to replace), and my internal harddrive connected as removal storage. The replacement screen was also poorer quality than what I had originally.
I took the laptop back, and despite him promising a 3 month warranty on the work, he didn’t offer to put right anything - he just wanted me to go away and try reinstall the machine. The guy is foreign and his English is poor, so communication is also difficult. So much effort that I can't be bothered taking it further, given I'm planning to replace the laptop - just needed something to run in the interim. The laptop does run - so half star for that.
