This is education at its best. I looked at a number of schools before choosing this one for my son who left last year after boarding for five years. Contrary to what people might think, I found the school unpretentious and welcoming of students from all backgrounds. I chose King's College as it caters well for bright children with specific learning difficulties. Whether your child ends up in the top stream or bottom of the bottom stream, you can be assured that they will be taught by an outstanding teacher. There are high expectations of the staff and the students and any issues or concerns are always dealt with swiftly and fairly. Although my son was almost bottom of the bottom stream in Year 9, he worked hard and ended up with NCEA L3 with Merit and University Entrance. When you know that a school has helped your child reach their potential then you know that you made the right choice.
