I feel strongly about giving children the skills they need to be able to reach their potential now and in the future. I believe that the skills of communication and self worth are an important part of this. I am excited about my new role, working with the children in the Waikato region by helping them to develop life skills through involvement in the acclaimed Helen O'Grady Drama programme.
The Helen O'Grady Drama Academy is the only organisation of it's kind in New Zealand
Providing self-development with a highly developed curriculum for children to encourage:
Effective group interaction
Self Esteem Enthusiasm, energy and a positive approach to life
I live in Cambridge with my husband and two children and I took the role of Principal of the Waikato region at the beginning of 2007. I have taught at all levels within the primary sector for the last 20 plus years, and I have always had a high interest and involvement in music and the arts, both as a teacher, and through participation in local repertory clubs.
