This is our 4th visit here since about 1987. The food is very "Chinese" and a lot of the Chinese community dine here. Some in very large groups which is a very good indicator of good food for people who know good Chinese food. The dining area is a very pleasant place to dine. Even with large crowds it is still very quite. Food is always freshly prepared and portions are very large. Service has always been very good and attentive. It is a bit "pricey" but not extreme. It appears that the cuisine is totally Chinese so if you are into Steaks and Potatoes this is not your place. When back in New Zealand we'll be back.
Hees is overall a Cantonese restaurant offering good dim sums. Controversially the quality of dim sums is not always stable i.e. sometimes the taste is quite different from how it should be. It'd probably be made by different people and some of them are less experienced. Car park behind the restaurant is pretty small and only offers limited slots, but fortunately there are quite a few parking spaces in the street so it's usually not a problem. The prices are reasonable for the quality of what they offer, except the aforementioned different tastes.
