The Owner of Gardening Aids contacted me in response to my negative comment. He went out of his way to regain my previous good impression about them. It is only fair to now include it in my review of the business.
I have however a bit of an issue with Yellow. I tried to contact them to have my review from early July removed and my request was not even acknowledged. It is very unfair to Gardening Aids, who like anybody else deserve not to be condemned forever by a one-off event.
Thank you for your feedback Voytek - as with any business (and especially one that has been around for over 40 years as we have) the law of averages tells us there will be times when things go wrong. However, we are totally committed to doing all we can to provide solutions for our valued customers, so please make sure you tell us first when there is an issue, and we will do all in our power to fix it.
I bought a high quality ECHO brushcutter with a 5 year guarantee from Gardening Aids. Staff is helpful and knowledgably.... and best of all they service the machines at a discount when you buy from them.
Previously I bought a cheap weedeater found on Trade Me previously, absolute rubbish broke down and was un repairable within 3 months. Good example of when "cheap" really mean costly

German ( simply the best )I have been a customer for well over 5 years Loyal . This company tries very hard to please me all the time .
Waterblaster / chainsaw/ heaps of tools and everyone is better than the one they replaced .
The staff go beyond the call of duty .
They know the product and are not afraid to save you money in the long run by pointing out the the pitfalls of competing product ......
They are a credit to them selves in these days of big un maned /shops /and the Internet ....
It is up to us all to support companies like this .because with out them we will have NO service as well /nothing will get repaired .and knowledge will disapair
Pete, customers like you are the reason we have enjoyed what we do for so long, and as you say, support for your local servicing agent is vital in todays world to retain the knowledge base, and to promote repair of a good quality machine rather than buying poor quality throw-away junk that ends up in landfills to the detriment of our environment.
Owe me $150 for a mower I gave them to sell on my behalf 7 months ago. They have lost track of the mower and have fobbed me off on the phone six times, never return calls or emails. Would not deal with them again.
She was paid $150 into her bank account as soon as she Emailed me her bank account details on the day she posted this review.
I aplogise in the breakdown in communication, and were pleased to get her the price she wanted.
In fairness to us - we did sell her mower for her , when the Company she bought it from in Mairangi bay were unwilling to help her. We were also able to get her about $50 more in her hand, with a lot less trouble, than on Trademe
