Went for a pizza here last night, large, in happy hour 5-7pm during which selected Large pizzas (feed 2) were just $15. Pizza quality remains high here, and they are tasty. The pizzas are stonebaked in 800 degree oven, and really good - the dough is just right, not too thin and not too thick. Not known for being overly generous on the toppings, the pizzas are more Italian than American styled. But for the price, they're good. The same happy hour offers bottled Heineken beer and Soho red and white wines for just $5. A good quality, inexpensive, night out in Central Auckland CBD.
One of the best pizza restaurants I've been to in Auckland. Not only were the pizzas cheap they were also delicious and the portions are reasonably big. The pizzas are definitely made fresh, and the texture of the crust is pretty good. We had "Sunday roast" and "the union". The Sunday roast was my favourite as it had a balance of sweet and sour with a touch of saltiness on the crust. Also we went on thursday night which all the pizzas were half price regardless of the size. However, the big disappointment was that we waited about 30 minutes for two medium sized pizzas. The environment is good though - very lively. $40 for two is ideal.
I love the pizzas here which are stone grilled and BIG! On certain nights they offer a half price pizza promotion - which is a great time to try them. The outside Garden Bar area is really nice, often gets busy though - especially Friday nights. Live entertainment some evenings, normally one-piece entertainers with guitars or similar. Good range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Only downside is the flight of stairs you must walk up to get into the bar. It's above the Velvet Burger store, also owned by the same parent company,
Great atmosphere late at night. It's really good how it is divided into two sections with a chill out doors area and a more pub/club like interior with different music playing at each to accommodate lots of diferent tastes
Very friendly staff, great service! Had 2 medium pizzas and some beer battered fries between four people - more than enough and very tasty!! Don't get the (I think it's called)"headless") beer on tap, it tastes like weak Tui...no flavour. Otherwise a great experience.
