The Fireplace have been in business for 30 years now and have always been looked upon within the industry as being customer focused, courteous and professional.
The Fireplace do not employ their own full time gas/wood/electrical fire fitters or installers, what they do for their customers, is to recommend fitters/installers who the customer can choose from, based on the fitters/installers location, cost and experience. The Fireplace tries to make sure that who they recommend to customers are also customer focused, courteous and professional.
The Fireplace Ltd recommends all installations are carried out by an S.F.A.I.T (Solid Fuel Authorised Installer Technician)
Unfortunately The Fireplace cannot be held responsible for the workmanship of the installer/fitter nor any contractors the installer/fitter may use at the time of installation/repair. Should there be a situation where a customer does have a complaint about a fitter/installer, The Fireplace does take it very seriously. Management will address the situation by liaising with all parties involved to see if there can be a resolution.
From time to time, we do find that no matter what has been suggested to the customer they will disagree with the suggested solutions. When all avenues for resolution have been exhausted The Fireplace has no other option but to leave the matter with the customer and the fitter/installer to resolve.
The salesman was great. Really helpful. However they totally ruined my existing mantel, leaving big holes where they drilled into it when fit back onto wall. And made a real mess of the refurbishmnet job they did. Owner of the company was not interested, telling me to sort it with the fitter.
Would not recommend to anyone.
