I got two new Michelin Tyres fitted in today. A very friendly and gentleman staff Dan and his team gave a very good service. I was so confused in choosing the right brand of tyres. Dan shared his experience and gave me an expert advice, once i had narrowed my search between Firestone TZ700 and Michelin. He didn't rush on the phone. He explained the benefits of Michelin Energy XM2 tyres. Today at the workshop he advised me to change the valves. He and the young boy (his team mate) works with their heart in the business. I can see they put customer satisfaction ahead of profit making in the shop. Please continue to give this good customer service guys. You are good :) Thank you for today :)
A three weeks ago I visited this place to get ready for new WOF. I needed to change 3 tyres.
Because I don't have an expensive car I decided to go for the cheapest tyres available in store.
Service was good, fast and I paid $89 for each, balancing included. Not bad, I thought.
After a while I realize that car is shaking in speed 40km/h and higher.
Because I had balancing done recently I decided to go for wheel alignment and ring balancing again after recommendation in BridgeStone service (the place where I did my WOF after 20 days). Result really surprised me. All 3 new tyres were out of SHAPE!
I went back to Discount tyres to claim the warranty and the guy was surprised that all these 3 tyres are bad (sounds to me that he knew about out of shape tyres issue already - for this cheap and very bad quality tyres!)
So he changed it. I wanted to see the shape of each new tyre he put on on his balancing machine. I was chocked! Each new tyre OUT OF SHAPE AGAIN!
Then this guy gave me a shit about that my wheel rings are bad .. REALLY?? .. I wanted to change the tyres again and GUESS WHAT. After SECOND round of tyres changes these were good ( not for 100% but better then before and one wheel he set after FOURTH ROUND!!).
Ok, this guy agreed that the problem was REALLY caused by tyres - SO SURPRISING FOR ME!!
Then I wanted the money I spent for second wheel balancing done during my WOF process in BridgeStone - seems to me fair to customer and we can forget about this issue. (all documents to proof it I had in my hand)
GUESS WHAT ...
another nonsense explanations! He said that I should be glad that he changed previous tyres to new one (front pair after second round and rear after fourth round!!) with NO EXTRA CHARGES - WHAT???!!!
I left my cell number for his boss and I waited for his call more then week. NOBODY CALLED.
All and all, I SPENT my TIME, my MONEY and my ENERGY for this tyres, non sense explanations and absolutely no fair customer service. And previous driving on out of shape tyres was really NOT SAFE AT ALL!!
