I don't normally like to write negative things on public forums but the terrible quality of service left such a bitter taste in my mouth that I feel this is justified.
Arrived at the Daikoku Botany branch last night for dinner with a group of friends looking forward to a good meal. When we asked if they had space for a table for 5, the manager in charge who was at the front counter was extremely arrogant, impolite and dismissive and refused to acknowledge us until the last member of our group who was running slightly late arrived. The restaurant was not particularly busy, either. Unfortunately based on the quality of this welcome, we did not stay long enough to try the food. Still unsure what we did to warrant such behavior. Disappointing. Went across the road to another establishment instead where the atmosphere, service and food were excellent.
I won't act so low as to name the manager publicly here, but they definitely were not qualified to be in the hospitality industry.
