Not a bad company. I've had these guys on site a number of times. occasionally some of the tradies can be a bit hit and miss, but generally they are ok. Generally, a good job is done. two and a half stars
DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE. The most unreliable, unattractive and unprofessional service I have ever witnessed in Christchurch.
I have booked a free quote for a broken heatpump through The Heatpump People, who sent me a specialist from Christchurch Electrical. Firstly, the lady on the phone failed to advise me that they do not have "free quotes" for broken heatpump repairs even though I clearly stated that I wanted a free quote as out heatpump broke down and I want to know how much it would cost to fix it. Then, the specialist was almost 3 hours late, and spent 2.5 hours assessing the heatpump. He was on the phone for half of that time, which appeared highly unprofessional. He left, saying that there is nothing they can do to fix it.
Two months later I receive a bill for $229 billing me for 2.5 hours of the service. As you can imagine I wasn't happy, as I specifically explained to the phone operator what I wanted and she agreed to book a FREE quote. When I called the Christchurch Electrical, a man advised me that they do not have any free quotes for heat pump repairs and that I will have to pay the invoice in full. He appeared very uncooperative and I decided to write him an email instead explaining to whole story. My email has NEVER been answered. I tried calling again, but it was afterhours and the operator refused to even take a message. When I told her that I simply need someone to reply to my email, she said that there is nothing she can do about it. What kind of customer service is that?? I left for a holiday and while away tried to email several other times and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY EMAILS WAS IGNORED. Finally, fed up with the whole situation I got my partner to contact them. He spoke to the same unfriendly man I got the first time and after some negotiating he said that he will write almost a half of the bill off. Tired of this situation, my partner agreed and the man told him that he will email the invoice through. It has been a week and we have not received anything.
This is one of the worse customer service experiences I had in my life. Christchurch Electrical is unprofessional, uncooperative and unproductive. They failed to clearly communicate with us and billed us a lot of money for simply saying that our heatpump cannot be fixed.

Christchurch Electrical did a wee job for me a few months ago. Booking was easy, the company reponsive and the tradesman that did the work was friendly and effecient. Thanks Christchruch Electrical!
