Very expensive, i took my drier to his house at prearranged time and he fitted a $38 capacitor in less than 15 minutes using only 1 screwdriver and a multiwrench ( no hi tech tools or machinery used ) and charged me $90. No electronic payment method was offered so I had to pay cash, I wonder if the Tax department will get their portion. For me an hourly rate of $208 CASH is just plain greedy and I will never go back.
Sorry to hear that Reg Ferguson/Kerry? is unhappy with service and cost. When he first phoned I was unable to drive due to a recent operation so tried to help him out by explaining how he could do this himself. This took a good 10 minutes. Approximately 2 weeks later he phoned again to say he would bring the dryer to me. I spent another 5 minutes on the phone giving directions etc. I quoted approximately $30 for parts and $50 labour. When he arrived I stopped the job I had been working on and repaired his machine while he waited to save him a second trip to pick up his dryer. Cost of part $38 and labour $52 Keith Challis
