This shopping centre has everything. I like that i don't need to go anywhere else but here. It is central so that if you need to go anywhere else then that is just a stroll. If you don't want to sit in the forecourt and eat lunch you can go to all the amazing food places in the main street which is literally just down the road. A good selection of food places, mens and women's clothes and shoes, bags, accessories, homewares and every sports shops. I would reccomend coming in here before you go elsewhere if you are wanting to go shopping in New Plymouth. You won't be disappointed. The staff in a lot of shops are lovely and it has always been nice and clean when i have come in to shop.
Small mall compared to the big cities but I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. Pay parking attached to mall which was a downer. Lots of shops inside from clothing, shoes, hairdressers, supermarket, $2 shop, farmers etc. I enjoyed my visits here while I was in New Plymouth.
So often malls set a low bar, that it's hard to know what to rate Centre City,—which is your stock-standard New Zealand mall. The mall entrance is open and filled with natural light—it's quite impressive—but like most malls, it soon turns into a dark, noisy labyrinth of pokey chain stores. The food court is what it is, and the Robert Harris Cafe has nice view of the revamped coast. I guess that sums it up: 'it is what it is'...
Great range of stores with a decent food court to suit a variety a food preferences. There is even a sushi train now which a fantastic recent addition. The whole mall is well laid out with clean and hygienic toilet facilities for families and a dedicated mother and baby rooms.
