The food gets delivered to your table through tubes that run along the ceiling and walls. And the water cooler is an old converted sewing machine. And I got a plesent surprise when I found that the toilets were behind a bookshelf that opens! Coffee was lovely. But prices very high.
Very unique cafe in the heart of christchurch. Great for indoor or outdoor dining. Wonderful and different drink options, and food coming down the pneumatic tubes is just wonderful. I love that they offer sparkling water for customers to help themselves to.
My only downpoint was the lack of high chairs/changing facilities. Although they were very welcoming for my baby.
Very cool cafe. Great atmosphere set in the ground floor of one of the coolest surviving buildings of the earthquake. The whimsical way you get your sliders and fries is a must see. It's how people from the 1930's must have thought eating in the future would be like. Great food, great coffee. Slightly pushy to get you out the door again at the end.
