I have been a business and personal customer of this store for a number of years now. Usually they have what I need and the shop floor staff are helpful. I like how they are older and usually from a trade industry themselves. However some of the counter staff require some further training in customer relations. I have left the store feeling quite miffed at times and questioned my loyalty and that of our business to the store.
its a bit of a worry when you ask a staff member a question and they tell you the wrong thing to use which ends up making the problem worst, staff should have some knowledge about what area they work in.
but in saying that there is a very helpful guy in lighting.
Mixed feeling about this Bunnings - I have been a regular here for many years and usually always can find what I am after. The prices are similar to Mitre10 but their garden department seems to be a bit cheaper. I don't find the staff overly knowledgeable, which is fine as I very rarely need their assistance. I asked for a benchtop quote from Kitchens that "got lost" after I chased it up, didn't bother with it in the end. I once for 6 keys cut and only two fit the locks when used - so I had to return them, but I was able to get them returned without any trouble so that was positive.
