Was recommended Bosco's Cafe by colleagues at work ahead of a drive from Auckland to Tongoriro. We stopped on both legs of the journey. Perhaps I am spoilt by Auckland coffee but I thought it was ok, didnt try any of the food, which to be fair looked great. Coffee (we tried a long black and a flat white) was lovely and hot which is refreshing. Follow up, like this place even better.
We stopped twice at Bosco's on a recent trip to Tongoriro. This is a great spot to stop if travelling from Auckland as it breaks up the journey at a good juncture. We tried flat whites/espresso/fluffies and a long black, all coffees were of a good standard.
Bad coffee can be terrible. - bitter, burnt and quite often breaking the budget. Bosco has reassured me that all coffee does not need to be this way. Match a Bosco flat white with an award winning muffin and you get a morning tea suitable for any hard hitting critic (including myself).
Quick service with a smile every time, whether it be take away or dining in.
A cafe deserving of more awards : )
