I took my wedding dress into the new Nor West Store, there were a few marks on it that were concerning. Right from the start I was told what would happen and when I would be contacted. As promised Max called me to discuss all the possibilities and outcomes, as it turned out I got a call last Sunday from Max who had just finished working on it, delighed to tell me he had got all the marks out and the dress looked amazing. I am so pleased that I took my precious dress to Bentleys, I felt right from the begining that they would treat the garment with care and would do their absolute best to get the best outcome for me and they did. Great job Max and the team, thanks a million!
A big thankyou to Max and his team for restoring a beautiful silk dress that another drcleaner (TLC) in St lukes had absolutely ruined. Bentleys obviously have the expertise and processes to rectify other dycleaner stuff ups. Needless to say I will be travelling the extra Kms to Parnell in future for my drycleaning. My daughter and myself are so grateful to Max for this attention and care of this garmet.
I read a review about a wedding gown at this store and would like to share my experience.
My mother thought it a good idea for me to wear her wedding gown which had been in storage for 26 years. Although I was apprehensive at first I took it to Bentley's in Parnell to see it was possible to bring up to a wearable condition on my special day. I was told the small yellow stains on the garment may not be able to be removed but any thing was possible. Because of the managers confidence and professionalism I decided to leave the gown with him. 4 weeks later I received a call to return and 90 per cent of the stains were removed. It was a great result . I then had the option of how I wanted it returned. Since it was going to be worn in about a month I asked for it to be put on a hanger. When I returned it after a very wet wedding it was cleaned again and returned to me in excellent condition in an heirloom box. Thanks for making my mum happy and my big day a little more special.
I live in Takapuna and took my white evening gown to be dry cleaned at my local dry cleaner after I had spilt
red wine down the front of it. Unfortunately on of my dinner companions had told me to remove the stains with
salt. When I got it back from dry cleaner the stains were still there and the dress was greyish looking. When I questioned the counter
person she told me it was best result. I had heard there was a good dry cleaner in Parnell so I rang them and they
asked if I could bring it in for them to see it. The owner told me he would see what he could do. Two days later I
received a call from them to say it was ready for collection. I picked it up the following Saturday and not only were
the wine stains removed but the dress was white again. Wow thanks Bentleys.
Terrible experience at this place. Wish I had read the reviews below before using this place.
Gave in my wedding dress to be drycleaned, picked it up after 3 months dirty!
I had to go in and see how it was going, they would lie to me and say its being done. They would say they would call me when it was ready. No one ever called. I had to go in and check.. and every time a new person at the desk would say, its being cleaned at the moment.. all lies! Finally I said I was leaving so need it right away. they said just need to sow the embellished ribbon back on the dress. Lies again. The entire time the dress was sitting with them dirty. they removed the embellished ribbon and didn't even put it back on properly! 3 months of lies and no calls and I get the dress back like I gave it in!!
This place should really shut down. Everyone should save time and find a better vendor elsewhere.
Disgusting customer service. Do not use this dry cleaning service. I dropped off a dress and when i went to collect it I was told by the manager that they could not find it. Instead of apologizing and saying he would do everything he could to find the dress, he was extremely rude and aggressive and told me that there was nothing he could do and that legally he was entitled to 3 months to find a missing item.
I said that If the dress was still missing in 3 months he would have to pay $300 for which i paid for it and that i still had the receipt of my purchase, to which he replied "well it's just a cheap dress anyway" this man was arrogant, rude and unapologetic and told me that he was short staffed and he would have to do a lot of calling around to locate it which he didn't have time to do. I got a call two hours later saying that he had found the dress which i found suspicious considering his staff spent a long time with me in the shop looking for the dress which was not there.
I am absolutely disgusted by this company. I took 3 items in for dry cleaning and was told they would be ready in 3 days time. I returned to find one item wasnt ready and another had a new mark on it that wasnt there previously. I was told, without an apology, to come back tomorrow. I returned to find they had taken apart my dress without my permission- the dress was still in pieces and had shrunk. I called the manager, he was extremely rude and aggressive. He offered no apology and behaved as if he had done me a favour by cutting it up without my permission- saying it was at his own expense. He did not at any point apologise and eventually said in a very aggressive way that it had already happened now so what did I expect him to do about it- I asked for a full refund and told him I expected my dress to be returned to its original condition- he said "fine" and hung up on me. I have never been treated so badly by any company and urge people not to use them.
