Have enjoyed the food and drinks at Basalt every time we go there. Dinner dishes are slightly over priced for the size but still enjoyable, breakfast is decently priced. Their 'mocktails' are DELICIOUS-highly recommended. I have a loyalty card; points ad up really quickly & I received a $30 voucher for my birthday. I ordered an iced chocolate and they forgot it until I reminded them, they were very apologetic & gave the iced chocolate to me for free-really good customer service. Basalt have done new renovations, its a nice dining environment, but has a bar/pub setting if you just want a couple of drinks. Will definitely be going back.
Basalt used to have a really good menu although it has changed and isn't as good as it used to be, have a had a few experiences with bad service which is unfortunate as this used to be one of my favourite places to eat and drink.
Yes a little pricey but being a loyality club member helps a bit. Both the food and service are consistently good and it's so nice to have the choice of the upstairs open-air gazebo (perfect spot to watch the Santa parade whilst eating brunch) or the cosier downstairs area. A well-run establishment.
Love it! Really cosy downstairs for dinner and a groovy deck up top. Nice range of beers and cider on tap. The food is a bit pricy but I suppose that's because of how yummy it is. Great on a sunny afternoon upstairs! It's a shame about that big building in the way over the road though it would be a great view of the sea!
Friendly and professional staff. Cosy bar and restaurant downstairs with a fresh, modern Gazebo on top. The meals aren't always cheap, but the quality of food makes up for that. Love the Moneiths range on tap.
