The worst automotive company ever. They dont do their job properly. Every work they claimed to have done was not in fact done at all. I had to take my car to elsewhere for further repair!! if you are in search for WOF or any other car repair service, this place is not worth for every single penny you spend on them.
I have a similar experience with DisplayName during my encounter with Ceylon Automotive also known as Automotive Repair, which is located at 702 Great South Road. I went there for a car service and warrant of fitness after obtaining a Grabone deal. BAD idea!! I was told that both my car rear shock absorbers were leaking and it would cost about $120 each to replace. I then asked if the price included workmanship and GST, which the quoted price did not include. To make matter worse, if I choose to have the shock absorbers replaced in another mechanic shop, then I will be charged an additional $45 for a new WOF, which is utterly rubbish.
I then go to AA to have my WOF inspection and guess what? There's nothing wrong with my car shock absorbers. Shame on you, Ceylon Automotive for falsifying your inspection report and being dishonest. I will caution everyone to steer away from this business for good.
Sometimes called Ceylon Automotive, sometimes called Automotive Repair Co.
Please avoid using this company.
I should have known when I dropped my car off and there was a lady complaining that she couldn't register he car because the WOF they had done wasn't in the system.
I was was quoted a price for an oil change $69 (not a full service that's more) and front brake pads $130. I was then advised the front rotors would both need to be replaced and the cost would be $170 for that (Fine). But when I arrived to pay, the charge was Oil Change $69 (as promised), Pads $149 and rotors $195. They claimed that they had told me the prices were +GST when quoted.
They didn't because one I noted the prices down when the told me one the phone. This is New Zealand, where tax is assumed to be in the price unless it's a business to business transaction. And why would they give me 1 (cheap) price incl gst then 2 not including.
Anyway, I've never reviewed anything before and I realise this is a big rant, just don't want anyone caught out like I was.
