Love the food at the night markets - great variety, usually not too expensive, street style food which isn't otherwise that common in NZ. Various locations throughout the week give great options. Pity they shut the Onehunga one down, although I think that was more to do with Dressmart than the night market. Also the Pakuranga one gets a bit smokey with the lack of ventilation, but still, really worth going to.
One of the best night markets in Auckland every saturday. Variety of stalls. So many foods to choose from so you will be spoilt for choice. Most of the time they have entertainment of some sort at the front when you walk in. Great vibe and environment. Easy parking.
Love to go for Bonoffi Pie.. May have spelt that wrong LOLs.. I go to both Papatoetoe and Pakaranga night markets because this pie is soooooo amazing.. If I remember correctly, the stall should be called "Mamas Desserts" I love their snickers and other cheesecake like desserts.. The night market does all types of other varieties, Asian style, Oysters (raw and deshelled), waffles, butter chicken, Ribs, Burgers, Soups.. My goodness Im hungry LOLs.. Should definitely check them night markets out..
went to visit the new night market at sylvia park week before, was little small but lots of good food with cheap prices too. love the korean fried chicken which is only $10 for a medium box and there are plenty of chicken nibbles in it. you can also mix the flavours. unfortunately i didnt get the name of the store to see if they have branches elsewhere as sylvia park is a bit far for me to travel...
Always a good place to wander around on Saturday night. Always end up trying a new food. The food definitely reflects the multiculturalism in Auckland and a few of my favourite snacks are here. The other stores selling jewellery and phone cases are average. Nothing that special with the non-food stores. But if you are looking for a phone case, this place to try your luck could be at the top of your list.
Good food, lots of choices and reasonable prices.
I went twice and both times there were a lot of people.
Few vegetable stands, some clothes, some second-hand items, geeky stuff and also on site massage.
All in all a nice way to spend an evening.
Only bad thing is that you can back smelling of food.
