We recently had our house reroofed by Advanced Guttering & Roofing Systems. Our house is over 80 years old and is a storey and a half weatherboard place. The upper storey had been added some 30 years ago when the original corrogated iron was reroofed over with Hardie slates. Some of these were damaged in the Chch earthquake and temporary repairs done. A couple of years ago we decided to completely reroof the house with corrogated iron.
A reroof involved removal of the Hardie slates, which had tested positive for asbestos; removal of the original corrogated iron roof; replacing with new long run colour steel corrogated iron, and replacing lower weatherboards and flashing on the upper storey. The job also involved replacing a butyl rubber roof over a bay window etc. The guttering and downpipes were also replaced.
So it was not a straight forward job. But Advanced Guttering handled the whole project and did an excellent job keeping us up to date with progress and offering a number of suggestions.
We are very happy with the finished job, the standard of the workmanship, and thoroughly recommend them. Certainly they were excellent for what was not an easy straight-forward job.
