Duncan Webb Labour party MP, brings broad experience to Parliament. He was a partner in a major law firm, and prior to that a professor of law. His credentials as a social activist are unquestionable  since 2010 he worked to help ordinary people in Christchurch get their homes, lives, jobs, and businesses back on track after the earthquakes.  He was an advocate for an inquiry into the failings of EQC.

Duncan has also worked on other social justice projects, such as the Public Interest Project  which seeks to get innocent people out of jail and establish a Criminal Cases Review Commission  and the Howard League, which promotes prisoners rights. Furthermore, Duncan acted for the Flockton Basin residents in the EQC flood litigation and assisted the Problem Gambling Foundation when they sued Sky City.

As the new Member of Parliament for Christchurch Central, Duncan will continue to work with his constituents on the many issues which continue to face them. He is committed to being a a strong voice for Christchurch in Wellington.

Duncan is proud to be part of a Government which is implementing polices of change  including some directly advocated by him.

What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a natural or subconscious state of focus. It is similar to being completely absorbed in a book, movie, music, or even your own thoughts. In this state, clients can turn their attention completely inward to find and utilise the natural resources deep within themselves that can help them make changes or regain control in certain areas of their life.

When under hypnosis, you are have complete awareness of your surroundings with clients often saying how they are surprised that they can hear what is said to them. Everyone can be hypnotized. All hypnosis is self hypnosis, however some people go deeper than others.

The hypnotherapist facilitates the client, giving positive or appropriate suggestions, which can have a very positive and beneficial effect, assisting people to make positive and beneficial changes in their lives and these changes are often profound and life changing.

Hypnotherapy has a therapeutic effect on the mind and the body for the release of problems, such as; addictions, gambling, stop smoking/ smoking cessation, weight loss, drugs, alcohol, stress, depression, anxiety, confidence, and much more. Hypnosis is not a truth serum, you are in control at all times.

Hypnotherapy is great for teenagers who are experiencing issues surrounding; confidence, stress, school pressure, public speaking, social anxiety and OCDs. They are highly responsive and find hypnosis a helpful medium to overcome these issues. Children also very responsive due to their fantastic imaginations, which can be used to overcome a myriad of problems, such as; bed wetting, fears and phobias, confidence and self esteem issues
