Open 7 days from 8am, Lake Matheson Cafe is just a few minutes drive from Fox Glacier at the entrance to the Lake Matheson Walkway. With comfortable seating options and deck area, we have unsurpassed views of Mt Cook and Mt Tasman.

Matheson Cafe offers a range of breakfast and lunch options, with our famous gourmet pizzas changing to suit seasonal ingredients. The cabinets are always full of delicious pleasures, including deli style sandwiches, cakes, savouries and salads.

From November to the end of March, Matheson Cafe changes its persona in the evening from fresh cafe food to a table service restaurant with an incredible new menu and extensive wine list on offer. Providing the perfect place to enjoy award winning cuisine, sample some of New Zealands finest beers and wines, relaxing after your adventures around Fox and Franz Josef Glacier.

Bookings are welcome and essential for large groups and tours.
