Audio & Security Solutions was started in 1996 by the company’s owner Herb Tarrant. We have two offices located in Levin and Palmerston North. We currently service the Lower North Island, but by arrangement have previously carried out work at both ends of the country. Herb has been involved in the Audio Visual Industry for over 20 years. He has a wide range of skills and qualifications, ranging from design and install of home and commercial audio visual and security systems, to Motor-home satellites, freeview aerials, alarms, CCTV, home theater, wireless network, telephone, television aerials and solar systems. The Company currently employs 5 technicians, all fully trained in every aspect of our business. Our technicians also bring with them qualifications in Building and Engineering, meaning we rarely require the use of sub-contractors on any job we undertake. This allows us to keep tighter controls on costs, quality of work and timeliness on every job.
What we do

Pre Wire – Commercial or Residential
We work directly with your architects and builders, to make sure you have every connection required to keep you up-to-date with today’s fast moving technology changes. Whether it’s a new build or a simple house alteration, talk to us first.

Custom Installations
So you have raced out and bought the latest Big Screen TV and Sound System, but now the picture looks nothing like it did in the shop, you can’t bring up the internet and there’s wires running all over the floor. Let us sort it all out for you.
We can hide all the cables – Under floor, through the walls or lifting the roof, we can do it all. We carry a full range of Television wall mounts for every screen size, and if a standard mount won’t fit we are able to fabricate a mount to suit.
We install Satellites and Aerials to make sure you get that picture you paid for.

Basic Installations
We will tune in your TV, connect up your DVD recorder, set up your amplifier, connect your speakers, show you how to connect your camera/laptop to your TV. If you can’t get it working give us a call.

Security Systems
We are qualified installers for home and commercial alarm systems. We install and supply Monitors, Surveillance Camera’s and recording systems.
