What types of home help can you get? Home Help (or Domestic Assistance) is the usual household tasks that you may be struggling to complete unaided.
These tasks may include;
• doing your washing and hanging it out
• ironing shirts
• vacuuming or mopping the floors
• doing the dishes
• dusting
• preparing meals
• essential shopping

If you have a Community Services card or a High User card and have been assessed as having a need for assistance, you may get the service through public funding. If you have been discharged from hospital, then for a period of up to six months you may be eligible for public funding also.
