Founded in 1979, Te Whare Ra Wines is the oldest boutique winery in Marlborough. The name, that translates from Maori to mean "The House in the Sun", is depicted in our logo. It reflects the climate around Renwick, in the heart of the Wairau Valley wine growing district. The long summer sunlight hours, cool winters and free draining river shingle soils are keys to the region's success in wine-making.
