Specialising in Weddings and Portraiture. Hi, Kristy Strachan here. I'm a local Taranaki girl and started photography as a hobby 10-years ago whist working the family dairy farm. It sparked off a creative side that worked in well with my own young family. My services have since grown mainly by word-of-mouth, and nearly 150 weddings later, here we are. To add to your peace of mind, I'm also a Qualified Member of NZ Institute of Professional Photographers.

It's always a great pleasure to be involved in people's milestones, and getting to be part of the day - whether it be a birthday party, wedding, or newborn baby. I'm enthusiastic and outgoing and really enjoy this work, and I think you'll find my easy-going style fun and relaxing.

One of the things I find quite important is getting a mixture of everything that gives the parents, the bride and groom and everyone else a variety of what everybody wants.

Portraiture
As with Weddings, I love making children and family feel at ease. I offer both relaxed, more fun and less formal location shoots as well as more formal studio shoots.

It's always best to meet and have a casual chat and see my display albums. I promise there'll be no pushy sale talk! The most important thing is being comfortable with me and vice-versa.
