Hil Cook is a top internationally recognised, mobile make-up and hair artist based in Wellington with over 23 years in the industry. Along with her team of experts, they all specialise in Wedding Hair and Makeup, Fashion and Commercial shoots, Film and TV work, workshops and one on one classes. Hil is a qualified hairdresser, wig maker, makeup, special effects, airbrush and prosthetic artist.

As a freelancer working in film, TV, magazines, commercials, bridal and photo shoots, she has worked and trained all over the world and is highly confident in what she does. Born and raised here, Hil once again calls New Zealand her home her overseas stint training and working in London and all over the world. Hil has also just been nominated for NZ Businesswoman of the Year. Some of the many international stars Hil has worked on include Kylie Minogue and Cate Blanchett!

Hil was also a part of two award winning makeup teams - their work on Lord of the Rings won Hils department at Weta Workshop both an Oscar™ and a Bafta for "The Return of the King" in 2003.

Hil and her team have worked on various jobs in TV (including TV1's 'Dancing with the

Stars' and BBC/Gibson Group series 'Paradise Cafe'), various Films ( Avatar), travelling throughout NZ for Weddings, working with NZ’s top Fashion Designers and has been busy doing workshops with her elite team of make up and hair artists.

Hil Cook mobile Hair & Make Up has grown out of Hil's vision to create a team of talented Make Up and Hair Artists who can work in many aspects of this industry.

Her Team currently works in Fashion, Editorial, Commercial, Film, Television, Weddings, and

Make Up Lessons.
