If you're looking for a camping adventure, you'll find it at Wagener Holiday Park – “a slice of heav'n in New Zealand's winterless north”. This beautifully situated camping ground is located at the entrance to Houhora Harbour on East Coast beach and is approximately 30 minutes north of Kaitaia and only 10 kilometres from the famous 90 Mile Beach on the West Coast of New Zealand.

People are welcome to bring their own caravans or motorhomes and tents, otherwise we have caravans for hire or unit /backpacker cabins and you can also choose to have a site with power or without.Our facilities include tent sites, a boat ramp, sheltered or ocean beach swimming, sea views or secluded sites, hot showers, laundromat, backpackers accommodation, children's playground, wi-fi internet, dump station, car and boat wash, self cook kitchen, separate area for campers with approved pets, and all at very competitive rates.

Our location is a well known area for fishing, so we have fishing rods for hire, and because our camping site is right on the coast we also hire out bicycles and kayaks. At Houhora Heads Motor Camp, your activity choices are endless from swimming, surfing, gathering shellfish, surfcasting, boating, fishing to doing an ocean dive, we have it all! We also operate a marvellous backpacker facility for the younger traveller, or those young at heart.
