Its spacious verandas and unique observation tower have gracefully overlooked the city since 1872. Now, lovingly restored to its former glory, Fairfield House stands as a unique tribute to community activism. It is, in so many ways, close to the very heart of Nelson. Fairfield was blessed as a place of peace by His Holiness The Dalai Lama when he visited here in 1996.

-Fairfield House is a magical venue for any wedding. We specialise in working with clients to assist in making their day perfect. The diversity of the spaces we can offer you, means you can tailor the day to completely suit your own taste and needs. There are no catering or alcohol restrictions and you can arrive from 7am on the day to prepare. We can also arrange for you to come the previous day to prepare and set up. Just mention this to us when you enquire. Our licence and your hire of the premises is until midnight.
