Penguins School of Early Learning is purpose designed and built to provide the best possible environment for the education and care of young children. Our innovative centre includes special areas designed to meet the needs of children through an abundance of space and the provision of quality resources.

Each room has been carefully planned, ensuring the specific needs of infants, toddlers and young children are met. Extensive playgrounds offer children of all ages room to run and play and explore nature under the watchful eye of their teachers.

Children can be enrolled from birth to five years of age and our service has been developed to change with the growing needs of your child.

Infants up to two years of age are provided with a Primary-Care teacher. You and your child’s primary-care teacher will establish an individual plan that will ensure routines are consistent with home. Babies need to spend time being held, nurtured and responded to in a way that explains “you are special”.

Toddlers and young children will be supported to practice their developing self-help skills and growing independence. They will be given opportunities to become confident and purposeful explorers as they interact with the environment.

7.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. A minimum of two days per week enrolment is required and you have the flexibility of attending between 6 and 10 hours per day.

Penguins School of Early Learning is closed on Statutory Holidays and for approximately two weeks over the Christmas/New Year period.

Kindergarten Service .........................................................

Morning sessions are available for 4-year old children from 8am to 1pm. Morning tea and a cooked lunch are provided.

Afternoon sessions are available for 3-year old children from 1.30pm to 5.30pm. Afternoon tea is provided.

Children are not required to attend the full session allowing families the flexibility to fit Kindergarten around family life. All children enrolled in the Kindergarten are required to be toilet trained.

Three meals per day are provided by our in-house chef. All meals are prepared fresh daily and cater for a broad range of tastes, special dietary requirements and allergies. Morning and afternoon teas consist of snacks or finger foods with fresh fruit, while lunch is a hot-cooked meal
