Auckland Kindergarten Association (AKA) has 107 kindergartens and four all day early learning centres providing high quality early childhood education for three to five year olds.

Our kindergartens provide a safe, nurturing and enriching learning environment for children our future leaders. The education we provide supports and encourages children to become competent and confident learners. Our teaching staff are qualified in early childhood education, hold current teacher registration and first aid certificates.

We believe a partnership between children, teachers, family/whanau and the community is fundamental to a positive quality learning environment.

We encourage children to participate in a wide range of learning activities to extend and develop their skills and knowledge. The learning experiences include: exploration, creativity, literacy, numeracy, independence, confidence, working together, sharing and social interactions.

The dedicated teaching teams regularly document childrens work incorporating digital photographs into stories, which provide a snap shot of their learning. These assessments, which are recorded in individual portfolios, highlight their strengths, interests and learning dispositions.
