BOOKS A PLENTY is an independent bookstore in Tauranga, New Zealand.We were voted as the New Zealand Independent Bookstore for 2007.

It is owned and operated by Chris and Warren Baskett with the able assistance of Raewyn, Donna, Karen, Amy, Sue, Sharon and Linda. We all love books and reading and are always ready to help with your queries.

We are situated at 28 Grey St and stock a wide range of books over most genres. We also stock the required texts for students studying at the Bongard branch of the Bay of Plenty Polytechnic and also the Bethlehem Tertiary Institute. In addition we have a branch of Books A Plenty at the Windermere Campus of the Bay of Plenty Polytechnic where we stock required texts for that campus, and stationery.

Our website is not a complete stocklist, but does include staff picks and recommendations for both current and old favourites. Browse at your leisure and if the book you require is not listed email us your request, or drop into the store and meet our friendly and helpful staff. We will do our very best to locate that special book you require.

We also enjoy having book launches and personal signings in our store and will use this site to keep you informed about upcoming events.
