The Pride of the South. Remodeled on the original Cardrona Hotel in Wanaka, Cardrona Speight’s Alehouse sits in view of Mt Eden proudly out of place in its surrounds. Come and soak up our 4 diverse and characterful sections:

The Deck - Central Otago landscaping and an expansive deck area warmed by a large schist fire place, greet our guests on arrival. The outdoor tables and bench seats are perfect for groups, accommodating up to 15 guests at the one table. Commanding all day sunshine, sitting out here under the umbrellas is a wonderful way to have lunch and idle away the afternoon.

The Bar - Within the weatherboard façade, a second large copper and schist fire place, sits amongst displays of our southern heritage - including historical artefacts and anecdotes from the Speight’s Brewery in Dunedin. A long bar harking back to taverns of old provides the full Speight’s range of draft beers. Featuring a large variety of our best local wines, spirits, liqueurs and imported beers. Plus! Free live entertainment, trivia quiz nights and live sports action are provided weekly.

The Restaurant - Beyond our bar lies our restaurant. Providing lunch and dinner 7-days a week, with brunch available Saturday and Sunday. Our dark wooden furniture accommodates up 100 guests between schist walls with more historical displays. Groups of up to 20 can be seated at a single table, making us a popular venue for corporate lunches and large family groups. Our menu is sourced from local produce to supply delicious meals in generous proportions to satisfy the heartiest appetites. Our restaurant is also available for your private functions.

Then and BAR - The and BAR sits beside our restaurant with covered and outdoor seating. With its own private bar, the &BAR is a fantastic venue for any event.
