Arden Street House was built in the 1930's by a Scottish sea captain and the house reflects his influence with beautiful stained glass windows depicting sea themes. The era of art deco is visible throughout the house.

Joyce has interesting and quirky collections adorning the walls and lunge. Spacious character bedrooms and fabulous views. Good parking, quiet rooms.

Social dinners -meet the locals using produce from Joyce's organic garden, well-suited to single guests and those wishing for the quiet or social experience, including waking each morning to the sound of birdsong.

Located just 2 minutes walk from the beautiful Botanical Gardens, Knox College and 30 minutes walk from the city center, 15 muntes walk to the University of Otago and Community Hospice.

There are 3 houses

The bed and Breakfast which has ensuite which has queen size and single bed from $90 to $140 for bed and an excellent continental breakfast, double twin rooms with shared bathrooms which range from $85 to $120 (includes breakfast) and single rooms from $55 to $75 (includes breakfast). Some bedrooms are themed and all are characterful and furnished with desk, heater, electric blankets, hairdryers and a TV in each.

Backpackers A small friendly hostel. NO BUNKS all rooms are large and spacious with lovely views, OWN KEYS FOR YOUR BEDROOM, electric blanket on beds.All rooms have only a double and a single bed in each (one room has a double and two singles)priced at $30 per person for with made up bed good linen and towel provided.

Hostel: A small hostel Large spacious own room breakfast and dinner provided all rooms have own desk and lovely views, Long term rates from $190 to $240 for breakfast and dinner (in smaller rooms) or $350 per week for larger rooms (minumum stays apply)
