Having entered the industry in 2005, Joe Nidd has built a team with a huge wealth of experience, including several agents who each have more than a decade of experience in the industry. Working alongside him as company directors, are Liz Nidd whose more than three decades of industry experience is invaluable to the business, along with Michael Nidd, the companys legal advisor. Nidd Realty has a strong sense of corporate responsibility and has raised in excess of $100,000 for Cure Kids through their charity auctions and enough money to fund seven guide dogs before that. In 2015 the Nidd Realty Youth Innovation Fund was started to help fund young entrepreneurs in Dunedin and in 2023 the Nidd Realty Community Fund was launched, providing regular $1,000 donations to different charities, selected by team members or in some cases by public nomination. Gaining Nidd Realty Ltd's annual top company award for sales since 2010 have been stand out achievements in my real estate career. Since moving from journalism to real estate in 2007, I have been thrilled with the results achieved and pleased to have been able to assist so many people.  A major focus of my career in real estate is to provide outstanding communication and to make the process of acquiring and changing properties as easy as possible.  After winning the company's rookie of the year award in 2007-08, my sales totals have been consistently among the top attained and I am continuing to set and meet high targets, achieving close to an average of $1 million a month in sales and now exceeding a total of more than $100 million, earning a Platinum Achiever award.

Following more than 30 years as a journalist in New Zealand, Australia and the UK, I have found many parallels between the two careers. I believe the key ingredient in real estate, as in journalism, is people and I enjoy mixing with people from all walks of life. 

Renovating property and acquiring investment properties had been an interest of mine from the mid-1990s.  Aligning my career with what had been a hobby has been extremely rewarding and fulfilling.

In the past 20 years, I have written about property-related matters, redeveloped several residential properties, become a landlord and established and grown a property investment company, so it is very rewarding now to be helping people with their real estate needs.

I thrive on success and personal achievement and believe life should be a continuous learning experience. My aim is to continue to soak up knowledge and experience in the real estate industry and become widely known for my professional and friendly service.
