We opened our small boutique bicycle store in Wanaka back in 2013 with the bold aim to encourage the use of bicycles for everyday journeys and bigger adventures. From transporting our lives on cargo bikes, to venturing far and wide on fat-tyred bikepacking beasts, we're convinced that bicycles are the best way to travel and explore. The shop soon became a hub for community with events, art exhibitions and much silliness, always with a bike theme. In 2020 we moved business online, and we're here to provide you with the best bikepacking bikes and gear available and to assist you plan that next big bicycle powered adventure. The latest addition to the Govett-Brewster - the Len Lye Centre - is New Zealand's first institution dedicated to a single artist, the pioneering filmmaker and kinetic sculptor, Len Lye.

With its curved exterior walls of mirror-like stainless steel, the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery/Len Lye Centre is the country's first example of destination architecture linked to contemporary art and is one of the country's most iconic buildings.

Pioneering, daring and what Len Lye called the 'swingiest art gallery in the antipodes', the Govett-Brewster is a contemporary art museum of the Pacific Rim, with an international reputation and reach.

## Gallery History
Founded on a visionary exhibition and collection policy in 1970, we continue to court the radical, seek the new and provide a space for engagement and dialogue for people from all walks of life.

Located in the coastal city of New Plymouth, New Zealand, where WOMAD is held each year and the mighty Mount Taranaki volcano dominates the landscape, our independence from the larger cities sets us apart and provides us a measure of freedom. A freedom and sense of self-determination keenly felt by our founder, New Plymouth-born Monica Brewster, when she dreamed of an art museum for her city.

With her courage and vision, we established the museum in the city's decommissioned heritage cinema, and opened with a groundbreaking exhibition and multi-sensory installation, and continue to present innovative and provocative work by New Zealand and international artists.

Experience innovative and provocative work by New Zealand and international artists, an ever-changing exhibition programme, giant kinetic works, a regular event and education programme, daily tours and a late-night on Thursdays. 

## Gallery Venue
Our quarterly film programme in the 62-seat Len Lye Centre Cinema plays daily, and the cinema is also a welcoming environment for audiences to experience Len Lye's films, local and international cinema, arthouse and experimental films, and regular film festival programming. ## Art Gallery Shop
For something a little different, the Govett-Brewster Shop is not your usual tat. Contemporary design and objects of inspiration, jewellery, Len Lye and Govett-Brewster merchandise, books, gift cards, kids stuff and limited edition collaborations mean you'll definitely need to add extra time to your visit.

## Art Cafe - Monica's Eatery
Monica's Eatery, adjacent to the Govett-Brewster, is an international art cafe inspired by the life and spirit of Monica Brewster, a globetrotter even before the golden age of air travel and founding patron of the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery. Open seven days for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Warkworth & Wellsford Hospice's service is community based. From our offices at Tui House at 47 Morrison Drive, Warkworth, 6 palliative care nurses, a counsellor and a social worker travel throughout the North Rodney area to care for and support terminally ill patients and their families at home.  Patients and carers can also come to Tui House for day groups, clinics, art table, music sessions and daytime respite care.

If you are traveling from the Queenstown and the Lakes District of Central Otago, all roads lead to Omarama and The Wrinkly Rams.

####The Sheep Show:####

Come and enjoy the big screen experience of a High Country Sheep Muster. 
The sheep are brought down from the local mountains for shearing. It is live and unstaged, there's no telling what the sheep will do - a fun aspect of farm life to watch and enjoy.

The Wrinkly Rams Cafeteria comes with a stunning view of the Southern Alps and the tranquility of the Mackenzie basin. And to go with the setting, we've got choices of New Zealand beers, Wines from the Central Otago region, and of course, good, wholesome food and great service.

Our childcare teaching team is made up of passionate and experienced teachers who are warm, welcoming and naturally wonderful people. Our qualified Early Childhood Educators bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team and their special connection with our children is cherished and supported at our kindy and daycare centre in Havelock North.

Teachers guide our Tamariki in learning, engaging them with fun, sensory and also challenging experiences to nurture their development.  All children are valued at their unique stage of life, respected for who they are and have equal opportunities to ensure the best possible start in life.  This special environment with a community of talented individuals, encourages the joy and wonder of learning to come alive.
